Cremation is in fact the best cost effective solution compared to the standard burial. Also the standard burial is no longer the standard, currently more people in the United States are choosing cremation process.
So cremation has become the most preferred method, it has become more widely accepted among the worlds religions, and cost thousands of dollars less? Yes, its all true and it has also provided us with the ability to make the funeral services much more memorable and personal than would have been possible if one were to choose a burial.
I would suggest using part of the savings to purchase a quality urn. Purchasing a quality urn is often overlooked due to cremation being commonly known as the cheaper alternative. A typical casket is going to cost you anywhere between $3500 to $20,000 and will only be seen for approximately 1.5 hours prior to being covered in earth never to be seen again. While many seem to want to purchase the cheapest run of the mill urn they can find. Meanwhile the urn will be seen by anyone that visits your home, it will be viewed daily by family and will serve as a memorial for one of the most important and loved person in your life for many years to come. I have noticed that the people who purchase a quality built urn that reflects something they would like or would be proud of, often gives the person a greater sense of closure and a more positive experience. Dont be afraid to spend $1000.00 on a urn if it means something personal to you and or your loved one who passed because the urn you select is the memorial and tribute to one of the people you love the most.
Please let me know your thoughts.
