CONSIDERATIONS

THINGS TO CONSIDER

CASKETS VS URNS

Caskets typically cost several thousand even for the budget models.  They are seen by the family for 1 to 2 hours prior to being placed in the ground where they are never to be seen again.  when choosing a burial you must also purchase a vault for the casket which is an additional cost.

Urns are typically used as lifetime memorials and are generally placed somewhere within the home where it can be easily viewed by the family and close friends.  The family will see this memorial and often pay their respects, show their gratitude and give their love on a daily basis.  The cremation process vs the burial process is much more affordable.  But try to remember this memorial will be seen each and every day and will be utilized to pay respect to one of the people you hold closest to your heart.  With that being said make sure you select something special and meaningful.

WHAT WOULD THEY DO?

Did your mother and or father purchase the cheapest clothes they could find when you were a child? or Did they buy the best that they could afford within their means at that given time?

This situation is very similar in nature and it is important to think about them and give back to them as they gave to you for so many years.  Choose the best urn that you can afford and provide them with a memorial that will honor them for years to come.
